Seems like Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky” video struck a nerve with Real life daredevil Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel. He is suing Kanye West for trademark infringement and unauthorized image use.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, accuses West of trademark infringement and unauthorized use of Knievel’s image.
The suit goes on to say the video tarnished Knievel’s image with its vulgar, sexual and racially charged content.
“The guy just disgraced me,” said Knievel, 68, who said he hopes to halt showings of the video and win several million dollars.
“I have done the best I can to set an example for children, and then this guy comes along and tries to rip it apart,” he said.
The suit names West, Roc-A-Fella Records and music video director Chris Milk as defendants.

Its all about that all mighty dollar. If wackye west was not a millionaire would we really even be hearing anything about this. I agree, wackye west should have maybe asked permission first but lets be real:Evil Knievel, you are a thing of way way back but at least you honest about what you want out of this deal, MONEY and millions of it which I for one hope you do not get. I am no fan of wackye west but I feel these law suits are getting out of hand. Learn to budget and stop suing rappers and rappers stop putting yourselves in these f-’*ed up positions to be targeted. one!

I totally agree, hip hop artists should stop using these images of the past anyway….. hip hop is the future, and they shouldn’t use old old old images like evil knievel in the first place. evil kkknievel isn’t remotely apart of hip hop culture why use such a similar image as his. fuck evil knievel…….. I mean how many black fans did he have? the fact that the video is being sighted as “racially charged” and its not (the only thing racial about it, is the fact that west is a black man), should be a tell tell sign that kkknievel is probably a skin-head on the low…..

………….everybody always try and use the kids as a publicity gambit to clean up their image.. as if they never was young or did anything wrong. but in west’s case, I don’t really see how the law suit can stick because everybody and they moms can see that that’s not evel kkknievel in the video. I see if west put on white-face and really tried to make himself look like evel kkknievel…… and truthly, who the fuck cares about evel now, how could some one who is as forgotten as evel kkknievel sue for image or trademark infringement? it just shows how ridiculous law suits have gotten in america…… evel has no image in the minds of young america or the world for that matter…
