What’s up world? I’m one month into this bid on Riker’s Island. Slowly but surely, I’m adjusting. The transition from the free world to this environment has been startling, to say the least. I’ve been assigned a job in construction. It breaks my day up, so I really can’t complain. We are paid $20 a week. That’s the figure — you read it right. I use that for my phone time. I sleep in a dorm surrounded by 60 men. Real wack! The 6 building is basically a sentenced building — meaning most of us will be home in a year or less. I’ve met people of many races, classes and denominations. There are Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings, Gods, Muslims, to name a few.
The food is straight ass. Whoever the city jails gave the food contract to is dead wrong. I’ve been doing my little workout to keep my physical in tact. I’ve continued my reading, which really keeps me sane. It’s been easy, so far, but I have seen it jump off and leave a nigga leaking. I’m just coming from chow. A captain and a C.O. were having a heated exchange, and the whole mess hall wanted the C.O. to duff the captain. So you can see what type of temperament it is in this place.

Your last cd. help get my life in order, like you said “You got to know what moves to make, it is very technical out here, the moves you make can last you a lifetime”. There is a balance, just live your life I would tell you to pray, but I dont know if you get down like that, but for me I pray to Yahweh,Yashua and Elohim and that helps me, I try to stay away from the European version as much as possible, but I listen to some of the lessons that the Five Percentors teach because there are plenty of things in there good for the frame feel me get some of that “God Degree, nutrients for the brain” lolol.
Use this time to focus, on where you made the mistake, and put it into your words for the next cd. I know that is going to be a banger, the album cover for “Experience & Education” was deep in itself, you always been intelligent, but I knew you were going to take it to the next level, so I picked up that joint mad fast. This situation is going to make you or break you, but knowing you it is going to make you, so now is the time to build your foundation with solid cornerstones, the sad part is out here, these brothas dont even listen to the music that is feeding the mind and the spirit, they are banging a bunch of bullshit!! I mean you dont wanna smother a brother with to much knowledge but they dont wanna hear nothing.
Young cats gettin at Nas who only been in the game for two years, Monie Love had to breakdown Young Jeezy for remarks made stating that Nas is a street cat, I’m like so what are we suppose to do rhyme about drugs and pimpin and cars, come on, lets build and elevate, lets do the math and figure out the equation to life, once again make “technical moves”. Akinyele, this is not the time for this, if you are looking for a celebrity friend, just say that!! there are no empty messages up here, each message has something that the brother needs to here, we are not up here to bash anyone, and if you look closely or even heard anything from brother Sadat, he has been international when he was on his hiatus, which tells me you did not buy “Experience&Education” in which he stated that he has been all over the world, I mean lets help the brother stay inspired, because I am pretty sure that he realizes the ramifications that lead to his incarceration, so please inspire dont try to tear down what others have written to put yourself on a pedestal just use your light to help light my brothers lantern!! Because as I said in the statement above he “needs to use this time to focus on where he made the mistake” and what lead to his incarceration because without any knowledge on what lead you to an ignorant mistake you are bound to follow the same route again.
