Where Your Heart at? Where Your Pride At? Show Us What You Got Weezy!

Calling On Lil Wayne? Anybody seen Lil Wayne?

“when the beef is on, I’m like Lil John, yea!!!” - Lil Wayne

Well damn Weezy F. Baby I know I cracked my jokes on dude here and there. But real recognize real and even though there was the suspect photo of him and Baby I’m still going to show love and call a spade a spade. In other words on the mike Wayne is dope and does his thing. Even tho half the time he doesn’t remain on subject.

But enough of that my question for the “best rapper alive” is where is your heart, where is your pride? Why haven’t you said enough is enough and just ended all your foes? I understand the whole well Gillie isn’t successful enough for you to respond to thing. Hell I feel you on not dissing B.G. and Juve because of how close you all once were. But damn it! For someone to claim that their better than most on the mike it’s time to show us what you got!

Is there a fear that maybe just maybe you won’t be able to meet the standard that you set so high for yourself on a diss track? Or are you really a fraud? I don’t call Wayne a rapper (at least I don’t want to) because I believe he has what it takes and has shown that he is an MC. I seen him drop Ill lines and grow leaps and bounds (even though his progression has been questioned). All I’m asking is that you do what you need to do. At some point in time an MC has to lash out and show the world he’s not to be fucked with. The man you admired (Jay-Z) has done it, Nas has done, Krs has done, Big Daddy Kane has done, Ice Cube has done it, shit even Rakim (who didn’t release it do to him and Kane chopping it up) has done it.

What makes you any more special? Man I don’t want to sound like I’m disrespecting you Weezy, I’m just saying. In The South theres a bunch of kids and grown folks that look at you as the dopest from here. And they want a reason to believe you when you say no one one is fucking with you. Lately you’ve become the industries punching bag to the extend that Tru Life is even getting at you. You got your own “Fuck Weezy” coalition out here now. All I’m asking is at what point do you realize money can’t buy you the respect, but the venom on the mike can. If you really that dude in the booth that you say you are it’s long over do that you show us.

Fuck Lil Wayne Coalition:

Where your heart at? Where your pride at? Stop letting these dudes shit on you, time to retaliate homie. Show us what you got! It’s bad enough Trina was answering cats before you.

You already know holla!

I like Wayne but the shit talking gotta be backed up like Muhammad Ali. We can all talk shit, the ones that back it up are the greats! And Wayne has yet to back it up! He has bit off more than he cah chew with Jay-Z, who has classic records and people from both coasts reciting classic lyrics from his past hits. And battle tested with the best. And whos’ name is always mentioned when the G.O.A.T. debate starts. Lil’ Wayne I suggest you fall back on this one! Nas and The Clipse lyrically are much more advanced than Weezy. I think we sometimes get being the rapper of the moment mixed up with being the greatest lyricist of all time and beleive me homey they are not the same!

  6. 6 quE Jan 25th, 2007 at 4:07 pm

Region haters!!!!! Dont you think Wayne is working on something as we speak? Yeah, he’s been talking reckless lately, but isnt that what Hip Hop is all about? Saying that your the best and what not? I swear if Wayne was from NY he would not have so many haters.

And why when someone has “swagger” they got it from someone Up North? Thats bullshit!

  7. 7 Yun Jan 25th, 2007 at 6:55 pm

What rapper doesn’t think he’s the best….I mean really machismo is a part of hip-hop, but Wayne better not go at Clipse, he’ll lose that 2 on 1 beef.

  8. 8 the goonies Jan 25th, 2007 at 10:03 pm

    REAL TALK

  9. 9 tonewop Jan 26th, 2007 at 8:29 am

How did Wayne get his style from Philly. Whats Philly style? I like Philly people, and yall go hard, but thats Like saying someone got a style from New Jersey, Delaware, or Upstate NY. He might have got some love from Philly, and try to run with it to NYC, I believe that.

He dress , talk, and act like a Harlem Nigga bottom line. He needs to go at tru-life, because hes the only one that is getting buz from shit talking. Unfortunately Gillie is an average rapper on no label.

  10. 10 Big O Jan 26th, 2007 at 3:42 pm

Hey you Que, what did you just say? I know you are smokin’ right, Lil Wayne whole style is Jay Z, are you crazy, damn, I shouldnt have asked that question!!

  11. 11 quE Jan 26th, 2007 at 3:47 pm

    Big O:

Typical northern reaction. Tunnel Vision at its finest.

  12. 12 evenwhenilie Jan 26th, 2007 at 8:51 pm

………..why do people keep post’n topics about weezy being the goat or not, when he’s soooo obviously NOT! gillie will kill him, he hasn’t even denied the fact that gillie ghost written for him…….. and if that’s true… then he can never be the goat with other motherfuckers spelling your shit out for you….. and for the record jay didn’t fall off, he just pulled his pants up, and started wearing suits so you can’t relate to him now… he getting his grown man on.

  13. 13 evenwhenilie Jan 26th, 2007 at 8:53 pm

……..typical southern reaction, thinking you can just say you the goat with no evidence, and it will just become fact….

  14. 14 the goonies Jan 26th, 2007 at 11:59 pm

    evenwhenilie Jan 26th, 2007 at 8:51 pm

………..why do people keep post’n topics about weezy being the goat or not, when he’s soooo obviously NOT! gillie will kill him, he hasn’t even denied the fact that gillie ghost written for him…….

WEEZY SAID IT IN KING MAG….

“HOW U WRITE FOR SOME ONE WHO SOUND BETER THAN YOU”

“WHO THE FUCK IS YOU, NE-YO?”

  15. 15 evenwhenilie Jan 27th, 2007 at 12:31 am

…….but weezy don’t sound better then gillie! now, he does have better production, but the lyrics sound the same…….

  16. 16 evenwhenilie Jan 27th, 2007 at 12:55 am

………you can never prove one way or the other if someone ghost written for you or if you wrote somebody elses shit…… but somehow I really don’t think someone would say they did, and didnt…..think about it. that would be some bold shit……..to straight up lie like that…

  17. 17 evenwhenilie Jan 27th, 2007 at 1:09 am

………i mean really think about that! that’s like saying you fuck some girl (that you didn’t), lying to everyone, and you know that the girl knows you’re lying….. that’s some psychotic shit if you could tell a lie like that……. maybe there’s some kind of mis-understanding or something….. but I don’t see how there could be, either somebody wrote your shit or they didnt…… somebodys straight up lying…… and I would go with lil wayne, because he has more to loose, because he can’t claim goat if someone wrote your shit, period! I don’t know about yall, but its hard for me to believe gillie would lie like that…..

  18. 18 evenwhenilie Jan 27th, 2007 at 12:40 pm

“Region haters!!!!! Dont you think Wayne is working on something as we speak? Yeah, he’s been talking reckless lately, but isnt that what Hip Hop is all about?”

………………..que, that’s part of the problem right there, a lot of people now dayz don’t know what real hip hop is, hip hop is not being reckless and disrespecting already established icons in the game…….. I really don’t think those of you who think this are think about what kind of message that’s sending………..if a person like jay-z, nas, krs-1, rakim, or africa bam botta, can be disrespected after all that they’ve done for hip hop, the the game has zero structure….. the moment anything looses its structure it can’t stand! hip hop can’t live of beef alone…….. recklessness is not hip hop, its just recklessness, and it leads to more reckless behavior & chaos………

  19. 19 crooklynalday Jan 27th, 2007 at 1:39 pm

niggas in the south just started dressing , why cause of bet, ya niggas in the south used to be on west coast dik, , as far as weezy fuck baby, he can’t freestyle, so he can’t go at gillie, that’s why he never respond, everything wayne spit is things he write, so if niggas in the south think he’s the greatest let them, cuz they don’t know bout rap anyway, this nigga said if weezy was from ny we wouldn’t say nothing like that. homey the djs alone would have check wayne, we don’t believe in dudes like wayne, papoose would make wayne cry on a stage if they was to eva try some shit like that, wayne knows that he was on drugs when he said them shit , why are ya mofos sticking up for what a next man spit, do u believe in this nigga so much , that u willing to suck his dick.. danm that faggot shit is getting out of hands that’s why hip hop is dead

  20. 20 quE Jan 29th, 2007 at 3:07 pm

    Ok here we go…..

First off were not going to see eye to eye on this regardless, but Im bored so I guess I will respond to this nonsense.

    1. Who said Wayne was the GOAT anyway?(Besides himself) See, thats the problem, u Up Top niggaz always blow things out of porportion. But this nigga is the nicest nigga in the game right now. And if you dont agree your just region hating, plain and simple. I seriously doubt you cats would have such a big problem with Wayne if he was from NYC. And you know its true.

    2. As far as this Gillie the Kid situation, you niggaz really need to let that go. I think ya’ll are trying to find anything to discredit this guy. IF this nigga Gillie wrote for him back in the day, he damn sure hasnt written anything for Wayne lately. (Obviously) So how is this nigga still killing every track hes been on? Gillie has long been gone from Cash Money. So you really need to get off that.

    3. Why do you NYC niggaz put Jay-Z on this pedestal? So what he went at Jay-Z? Who cares. Ya’ll really must think this nigga is GOD or something. What? Jay-Z cant be touched? You NYC cats love battles so much, whats wrong with him going at the best. Thats what Hip Hop is all about right?! You act like Jay-Z has been around since the eighties. He’s not KRS, he’s not Rakim. So there shouldnt be this “disrespect” issue that I keep hearing. Why is it so disrespectful? Once again, when a southern nigga goes at a northern cat, he’s being so called “disrespectful.” But northern cats have been talkin shit about the south for over 20 years. You niggas are such hypocrites. But when the Dips go at Jigga, the term “disrespectful” never seems to come up. I wonder why.

    4. “…..Papoose will make Wayne cry on stage?” WTF??? I fucks wit Pap, but Wayne will eat that nigga on the mic. But if Pap was from Bumfuck, Mississippi I bet that statement wouldve never came out of your mouth, would it?

  21. 21 bkstylz Jan 29th, 2007 at 4:00 pm

    Que….

I don’t even like Papoose but he will eat Wayne alive….that lil nigga has a hard time evn making sense in his rhymes…..He can’t really go at anyone until he can put a complete sentence together that makes sense….If you really look at rhyme skills, he isn’t even in the top 100.

Jay-z gets put on a pedestal because after 10 plus years in the game & classic after classic…he deserves to be there….

Wayne tries to be like Jay (not writing his rhymes) but based on lyrical content, he isn’t even close.

  22. 22 John Burnett Jan 29th, 2007 at 5:20 pm

Lil Wayne is not the best period. As mentioned before he cannot stay on topic. Is it okay for him to challenge the best? Yes it’s okay. Jay-Z was saying the city is mine on his second album and at that time being the king of the city basically meant being the king of hip hop.

You guys need to stop perpetuating this south vs north conflict. It’s BS that the media perpetuates and lames get behind. Dudes from the South and making money with cats from the North. Only the lames are using beef and regional conflicts to build buzz.

Jay-Z is top 3 no question (arguably the best) and deserves respect but this “grown up” cliche must stop. Jay is a human and he drops bricks. Kingdom Come = brick and I love Jay. Is it reasonable, blueprint or black album esque…Hell no. Being a good artist means you can relate to anyone not just cats with stacks of money.

Goofies, Gillie confessed to not writing Wayne’s lyrics in every interview he had after he made the statement. He said he influenced Wayne’s swag. He actually confessed to not writing for him.

Wayne may want to ease off the clipse though. Those boys are spitting pure heat. Jay, will get at the boy too and Tru Life. He’s more a street dude than a rapper so Wayne will have at the boy. Being the best in the game doesn’t mean being the best of all time. It means just that, you’re the best in the game. The title for that is debatable.

  23. 23 Cleeze Jan 30th, 2007 at 12:23 am

    @ bkstylz

You dont even like Papoose but he will eat Wayne alive? That makes no sense at all. New Yorkers are so biased it’s sickening.

    @ quE

Its pointless arguing with these people. In their eyes no one is better than a “New York MC.” They just suffer from Tunnel Vision up there. Your right though, if Lil Wayne was from NY then this wouldnt even be an issue.

  24. 24 Hood Boy Jan 30th, 2007 at 10:46 am

….If you really look at rhyme skills, he isn’t even in the top 100.

Nigga what the fuck are u smokin? Thats just hate right there. What makes your precious NY MC’s that much better than:

    Lil Wayne
    Andre 3000
    Killer MIke
    Big Boi
    Bun B
    Chamillionaire
    Stat Quo

Is it beacuase these MC’s arent from your particular region? Is that it? Because if you ask me, anyone of these artist will eat any NY MC on the Mic.

  25. 25 bkstylz Jan 30th, 2007 at 2:54 pm

what makes them better??……..lyrics & flow.

I do like Big Boi & stat quo…but stat is still unproven.

It isn’t about where you are from it is about skill.

Phonte (of little brother) is one of the coldest rappers out (imo) and he is from North Carolina….Ehlzi (from Slum Village) is off the hook and he is from Detroit. Royce 5′9, Bishop Lamont, Cassidy, Lupe Fiasco, Common……these are rappers bringing heat and not from NY…

so back up and don’t get so sensitive when Wayne gets called out for not really being a good lyricist….sounding cool but not saying shit will only get you so far (the south)….

  26. 26 quE Jan 30th, 2007 at 5:00 pm

    bkstylz

I cant even argue with that list bruh. Those are some dope MC’s. Common has always been one of my favorite rappers. Lupe had the best album of the year in my opinion. But, the majority of those MC’s you listed are concious rappers. Now if you want to get that technical then yeah, Wayne isnt on that level because he’s not a concious rapper. But when it comes to straight spittin, dude has it.

You say sounding cool but not saying nothing will only get you so far,(in the South) lol. Once again, it appears to be a Southern issue. If region didn’t matter, why put that at the end of your post?

  27. 27 bkstylz Jan 31st, 2007 at 2:14 pm

because it appears that only southern rappers can really get away with not being lyricists.

If you think about it…..You can’t be from any other region, spit sh!t that doesn’t make any sense only rhymes and get away with it. It seems the south will settle for a bumpin beat and a cool cadence.

and I like a bunch of other rappers that aren’t that conscious…I think The Game is a beast on mic and mr. shoot em up Cassidy is far from conscious.

  28. 28 quE Jan 31st, 2007 at 2:58 pm

Nah, its not that the South is “getting away” with spittin nonsense. Its just a different culture and vibe in the South than in other regions. Yeah in the South, the beat does matter. Perfect example, in NY you either walk or take the train. And while doing this you wear headphones. With headphones your focus is going to be on lyrics because you cant really get the full effect of the beat. Thats why NY beats are so different from a Southern beat. Not better, just different.

Now in the South, niggaz dont walk. lol. So we hop in our whips to get where were going. Thats why niggaz put speakers in their cars, rims etc. Because alot of your time is spent in a car. So if your riding with 3 fifteens in the trunk, you want a beat thats going to knock. Now with that, lyrics are sacrificed a little, I agree. But thats the culture. Its not that niggaz are slow or whatever, its just the way it is.

Now dont get it twisted. Im not defending this new genearation of Southern artist. The snap. crunk, crunk and b shit whatever. That shit is garbage and its not hip hop. I grew up on the Dungeon Family, Goodie Mob, OutKast (when they were spittin) etc. Back when artist really said something. So I look at these new cats as a disgrace to the South. Its a shame that the real lyricist never really got their shine. And with Corporate America running hip hop into the ground I dont think they ever will.

  29. 29 bkstylz Jan 31st, 2007 at 5:02 pm

you alright Que. I defiinitely see where you are coming from…..and I do miss the old ’southernplayalistic’ outkast days too

  30. 30 Luvhurts004 Feb 6th, 2007 at 12:40 pm

Man if your hot your hot, fuck what region your from.

  31. 31 StinsoC Feb 14th, 2007 at 11:37 pm

First of all I’m from the south, and everybody has some real good points.

    1. As far as Wayne goes he’s hot and getting a lot of pub now, but there are plenty of Mc’s that will eat him.

    2. Hip Hop is just in a different place right now, and mixtapes and live shows is the only way that you will get what you really want out of it. If you’re checking for it on the radio, you won’t get it.

    3. I’m tired of hearing people saying Jay fell off. No, Jay is wearing a $5000 tailored suit and continuing to grow the most historic label in hip hop history. He’s still making hip hop music, it’s just a little more mature.

    4. Wayne is not ready for JAY-Z.

    5. The south does has artist that spit meaningful lyrics: Scarface, Andre 3000, Killer Mike.

    6. The great thing about Hip Hop is that we are all so posessive about it, and believe it or not, that what will force the culture to continue to evolve. In a year or so, some artist will be wondering why they can’t come up with a wack ass dance, call it a song and get radio play. Personally, I hope that at this time all of these fake ass thugs will be doing the same thing. If you real, by all means be creative and let us hear your story, but if not, be creative and do you.

  32. 32 tash Mar 21st, 2007 at 1:56 pm

What none of you guys understand is, that this hiphop game has been gone…it isn’t the same..point blank period…as much as you care about these rappers..they could care less about yall..there in mansions laughin at us, knowing we’re gonna buy this shit..put money in there pocket etc, we as the “fans” are the ones thats out here doing shit..theres no system where we give them money, and give us attention back..they dont do it for the fans right now…back in the day people talked about whats real, told stories. and their whole entire album made sense and was on topic to inform people whats going on, not glorify what they did, and at same time there still struggling..it seems to yall its money money money, but why when they die there money isnt going into your pockets and they def. aint gonna take it the grave…the same old imma drug dealer been through the struggle etc stories are old..im not preaching, and i speak for myself..but its entertainment, i can truly say 98% of the rappers that claim to be hard aint shit compared to the kid now thats really going through the struggle, now moral wise i can give weezy respect for his idea of giving back money to katrina etc, BUT remember what are the rappers doing for you!we spend 15 dollars every tuesday for what? the hiphop movement now is gone, and its entertainment.. dont glorify these people one bit, whens the last time u heard a rapper say “im rapper now, becuase i can send a message through the public, to motivate yall to be doctors etc.” never, and if they do..dont believe that shit, when the next song is “lets goto the club and get drunk and start a fight” hip hop has lost its creativity and the older generation are leaving it because the game has been sold, to niggas like you, who nod there head to yung joc jim jones etc..money is money, but use it for the right reasons, bottom line its entertainment..dont disrespect the next guy for his opinions with hate, when your playing devils advocate..and on some real shit…I SPEAK TO MYSELF TOO..justa reminder
