Man I can’t believe it’s been 10 years, 10 years since THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND was assassinated. Cause that’s just what it was an assassination. We may not view Biggie in the same light as maybe a MLK or Malcolm X (and that’s fair) but what we do view him as is an Tower of our culture. I remember getting a ride ( I was only 12) from my cousin on March 10, 1997 and hearing the DJ on the radio say that Biggie died the night before. I remember walking through my school and seeing teachers, yeah teachers crying. It’s heart wrenching to know that in these 10 years his murderers haven’t been brought to justice. Yet then again what could we expect, to most outside of our vast world he was just another nigger dead. But we will always love and admire Biggie. He made me feel good to be me, made me not ashamed to say I’m “big black ugly as ever”. He made me feel free to have fun and enjoy making music the way I wanted.

There’s so much drama in being labeled a King, and The Black Frank White was no exception. What he has done for us all will never be forgotten. The bar he raised may never be surpassed. We’ll always love you Biggie. I never knew you, never met you but I got to say that I love you. I love you for making classics,, for forcing Hip-Hop to take it up a notch, for creating a legacy that will stand the test of time. R.I.P. to B.I.G the greatest of all time!

We need to unite and stop the senseless violence we’ve lost to many. Fuck that bullshit ‘No Snitchin’. If you know something then mother fucker you better speak. And that’s not just pretaining to Biggie’s death but life PERIOD! We are not held hostage by Evil but the fear to expose it! Biggie was an Son, A Husband, A Father! Let’s not let his or anyone else’s lost be in vain!

You’re right, Ja. A lot of guys complain about B.I.G.’s murderers not getting caught, then say, “Don’t snitch!” How the hell is justice gonna be brought to them if no one speaks up?
There’ll never be anyone quite like Biggie again, no matter how many rappers try to imitate him. But what bothers me is that on 106 & Park today during his tribute, Terrence J wore the Sean John shirt saying “The Real King of NY” and pointed it out saying, “Yeah, that’s right”. If this is a shot at Jay (or Nas or whoever), fuck you! Hov has been in this game since when Big started, and he’s nine albums deep! He’s made so many classics, he can say he’s the King of New York! I honestly think that by now he’s on par with B.I.G.; he never fell off, he still keeps it real, and his lyrics are still absurd. Plus he still pays homage to Big all the time, so they oughta be the Two G.O.A.T.
NO DISS OR HATE BUT…..do we have to go through this every year on March 9??? I liked Biggie too (well, the first album & “party & bull”) but c’mon!!!!! It’s time to let go. Most of us didn’t know this dude. We just liked his music. Yes it’s sad to see another brother with potential go out like that but sadly that happens almost daily & we still yell the same “stop snitchin’, street cred” bull that keeps Big’s loved ones from getting closure.
To Christoper Wallace…may you someday REST IN PEACE>
If dude was still alive he would not get the love he get right now. I ain’t hating it’s just crazy how your everyones favorite when you no longer here. BIG was not and is not the greastest in the world but I was a fan and still is. Somebody just needs to tell Diddy to stop repasting his tracks please.

Biggie was not the greatest of all time Tupac was and in my opinion biggie only had some songs that came out with that was cool but the rest was wack in my opinion and i don’t give a F*ck on what anybody says, 2pac was and still is the best rapper ever to spit on the mic hands down but i will say that biggie was a cool rapper but not the best rapper.
you can hate on pac all you want but who sold the most records 2pac did so he was the better lyricist hands down
but R.I.P biggie and god bless the his soul.
First of all RIP Biggie. I’m a fan of his work, but ain’t no way I consider him the King of NY or GOAT. He got lots of skills, a incredible flow etc but it was not for my taste.
And I hope Diddy stop releasing posthumous Biggie albuns…that’s enough!!!
first of all if ya gonna talk mas shit dont leave a mutha fuckin response. biggie smalls was the most consistant, most creative, and most prolific MC in the game, past present future. there will never be anyone who could touch biggie. yeah hov is nice (or was nice if you wanna get technical) but you cannot compare hov to big because hov has 10 years on biggie. if big was still here we don’t know who would be nicer, but that aint the fuckin point. big laid the fuckin ground work for everyone who’s been out since ‘92. 2pac don have shit on big, nobody does. and yes we have to rembmer the illest every year. thats what you do when some one died. and everybody should be going hard, because everybody outside of the hip-hop community seems not to give a fuck about biggies death. big was the nicest ever, and we need to rembember his skil, his artistry, and his crazy ill personality. r.i.p b.i.g, anyone who disagrees, go eat a dick,
In my opinion Pac was a better rapper than B.I.G but when it came to flow and Delivery no one touches B.I.G. He was lyrically the best and he will never be forgotten. P. Diddy on the other hand, is just a queer. Jay-z will never flow like Biggie and would never see him lyrically, only in record sales. R.I.P Biggie
Tupac was not/ is not the greatest rapper of all time. In my opinion neither is biggie, but biggie could have been if he had any kind of longevity. I mean the man was murdered before his second album came out! Yet he is prolly the most bitten rapper ever. Big could story tell with lyrical precision, keep it street, and make it appealing mainstream all that the same time. R.I.P. to B.I.G.
P.S. Pac selling more did not make him a better lyricist. People who think like that do not understand the difference between skill and mainstream appeal, which Pac had more off because he had been out longer than Big. If you wanna make an arguement like that, Eminem is better than Pac, not because he REALLY is more skilled than Pac, but because he has sold more, and will sell more with the release of new albums to come.
My top 5: (just my opnion)
Nas
Eminem
Biggie/Jay-Z
Jay-Z/Biggie
Pac
