with great power comes great responsibility, just ask spiderman....

Why is M1 lumped into the same group as the rest of these supply and demand rappers?
some of the stuff in music (read all music) and art is generally disgraceful material.

if everyone took m-1s lyrics to heart, there would be a lot less nappy headed hoe naming, and more critical thinking; thinking about who makes the news issues and why. so i doubt that music is as hypnotizing as people want us to believe.

This Imus thing has little to do with 50-cent, Don Imus, Mel Gibson, or Kramer this issue has to do with racism in America. the fox news crew is worried that "if Imus is fired who's next? it could be anyone".

If the Sean Bell murder case hasn't shown us already, you don't need to be a bigot to be a part of racism.

These fools (Don, Mel and Kramer) are poetry, they are metaphors for the undieing racism in America.

There is a double standard no matter how you deduce it! Imus was wrong and had to eat the fruit of his words. With great power comes great responsibility. Ask Adam and Eve! They were the first people on earth and as such had the responsibility and was given the power to direct the spiritual and moral code of the world. Their choice to disobey the LORD affected the entire world and everyone to be born on it! They had a responsibility that went beyond their own well being but effected the world. Like Adam and Eve, Don had a huge influence on our society. A few years ago, he was voted as one of the most important people in Time magazine. He had great power which meant he had a greater influence and even greater responsiblity! When he made those comments, they shot around the world like an MX missle causing shock, suprise, applause, and outrage. Those same comments are made in locker rooms across America but don't have the affect as Imus' comments because of his position in America. Since he was irresponsible, it cost him his job!

By the way, don't get it twisted, money played a huge role in his firing as well! It was based on the reasons above and MONEY! Please don't be fooled into thinking that these MSNBC and CBS all of sudden "grew a new heart".

Hip Hop has to take ownership of some of the blame too!. We (hip hop) did not make Imus pull the trigger on his mouth, but we gave him some of the ammunition!

...and that's all I have to say about that

M-1 is the truth and he just spoke himself, we need more of that. Believe in value of conscious wisdom, and meaningful ideals before you become swallowed by own ignorance. Peace.
