Damn this is stupid, women talk as much sh!t as the men…u wanna stop it in hip hop but what about shows like sex and the city where in atleast 30 shows they talkin about the size of a guys “package”. Also in a number of shows other than sex in the city they do the same thing and call all men dogs etc…

another question, is hip hop any worse than the fashion industry which puts women out in the same way, i love my hip hop and i hope it dont change cauz its the freedom to say what you like and hear what u wanna hear. you cant blame just hip hop either, u got stuff like this or even worse in rock music. death metal and things like that talk about raping, killing and torturing women. Let’s face the facts oprah got a grudge against hip hop and she dont like it…so f(_)cking what? if you are gonna smear hip hop make sure you get all the facts, show both sides to the story and look at the other forms of music

IM ON HIP HOP/RAP MUSIC SIDE. ITS ALL ABOUT FREEDOM OF SPEECH. ITS ALSO ABOT CHOICES. IF YOU HATE OUR MUSIC YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE TO NOT LISTEN. AS FAR AS THE SEXISM IN HIP HOP IS CONCERNED, PEOPLE(WOMEN) SHOULD STOP ACTING LIKE VICTIMS OF THE HOLOCAUST. NOBODYS FORCING WOMEN TO BE IN RAP VIDEOS OR ANYPLACE ELSE THEY SHOW UP HALF NAKED. ALL THESE CAPTAIN SAVE A HO’S NEED TO WAKE UP AND SMELL REALITY. WHAT DON IMUS SAID ABOUT THOSE BASKET PLAYERS WAS WRONG AND UN CALLED FOR. WHAT SNOOP DOG SAYS ABOUT THESE HO’S IS TRUE AND UNDERSTANDABLE. BUT LIKE TREACH OF NAUGHTY BY NATURE SAID AND I QUOTE
” IF YOU AINT NEVER BEEN TO THE GHETTO, THEN DONT COME TO THE GHETTO, BECAUSE YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND THE GHETTO…SO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE GHETTO”

just like silentc said… u gotta look at all types of music if u gonna blame hip-hop. just like u gotta look at all types of ppl if u gonna blame rappers. i know lotta white/black/asian ppl rich and poor who call ladies bitches and hoes… so stop pointin fingers

  4. 4 bankhead Apr 19th, 2007 at 1:56 pm

oprah need to sit her unhappy unmarried ass somewhere. that whole conversation was bias, they just pointing finger5s cuz they frustarted and dont know who to blame

  5. 5 JoezDog4 Apr 20th, 2007 at 3:40 am

… This finger pointing is ridiculous. Everyone knows that Oprah hates the hip hop community. She tells the girl from the audience ” you said you’ve made your point, that’s enough” She hated that the girl was on hip hop’s side… It’s all about choice IMHO

What bothered me was the women from Spellman. They claim to not listen to rap but one complained about being called a ho at a club. WHAT CLUB IN ATLANTA DOESN’T PLAY HIP HOP?? How was she dressed in the club?. Remember what Dave Chappelle said about wearing a ho’s uniform??

Women from Spellman also got @ Nelly when he tried to do a bone marrow drive there. They protested something positive b/c they claimed to be offended by the Tip Drill video. How was that related? Folk need to understand that the renewed war on hip hop is PAYBACK for Imus’s firing. Oprah should stop being a pawn for “Dwyte Mann”.

This site proves that many blacks have become degenerate uncle toms. what’s so hard to understand about not calling black women bitches and hos and other blacks niggas? I think many black people are mentally retarded and just can’t get it. Why is it we had Malcolm, Martin and Frederick Douglass, etc. and now these black men and women hating a black woman like Oprah? You people are pathetic, and you are all going straight to hell so you might as well take your hypocritical buts to a Satan worshiping church and quit wasting you sorry ass time. You disgust me, you uncircumcised philistines, you children of Satan.

oprah thinks rappers aren’t poets because what “SOME” rappers say is considered vulgar. but i would love to ask oprah to write a poem about her child hood. an honest poem which paints a true vivid picture of her fears , her pain and anger when she was abused by male family members…i guess that WOULD be hard to sugar coat. her uncles probably would like to censor that poem and call it vulgar. before you attack hip hop you must attack pain and poverty, 2 elements that cause vulgar rap. just because you dont like the poem doesnt mean the creator is not a poet. i respect oprah a great deal but if SOME country singers or SOME r and b singers or SOME opera singers made vulgar music against black women these people would just attack the artist not the genre. so i feel oprah and pals are being irresponsible and disrespectful to artist like COMMON ,QUEEN LATIFAH and WILL SMITH and she probably doesnt even see them as rap artist because they’re so positive. its very easy to attack rap because its a winnable fight, because it a black thing. black women have been called nappy headed hos long before cool herc started rap. and thats a rap…Rythym Accented Poetry!!

The incredible thing about Oprah is that she’s neither Black nor White nor, for that matter, Asian. She is amongst the first people in the world to truly be called a Universalist. One only wishes that there were more Oprah’s in this world who were so entirely altruistic.

Someone needs to say something! Rap has gone too far. We can not just blame the rap artist because these women on the video have a mind of their own, they should take more responsibility for their actions. I don’t want my daughter growing up in a society where she feels like the only thing she has to offer is her body, and that she needs to degrade herself to get a man. There is so much opportunity out there and I want my child to get her education and know her self worth.

I’m not quite understanding what all
this is supposed to be about?
    Must be me or something…

Oprah is a hypocrite. She’s been one of the premiere bale-bashers and man-haters for the past 20years,and now she has the nerve to object to negative attitudes. She can dish it out but she can’t take it. When the film “The Color Purple” premiered in Los Angeles, it was picketed by protesters objecting to the vicious anti-black male attitudes in the film. Did that stop Oprah? Hell no. As far as Spellman, this is a school that bars men from attending. It’s women only. Any institution or club or social group, etc, which bars women is accused of discrimination and of having negative attitudes toward women, yet they nave no problem with barring men. Hypocrisy, total hypocrisy.

If anyone hears of Oprah’s guests for her Obama fundraiser post the names on one of the Imus websites, and keep posting them as they come up. Oprah has made a fortune pandering to the rappers, actors and comics who use “Ho”, the “N” word gratuitous violence, murder, bitches, pimps, pimp slappers, etc. in their movies, albums, comedy tours, TV, radio, newspapers etc. Going through a recent list of guests and “Oprah friends” there are approximately 233,000 references to these words her guests and “Oprah friends” have uttered publicly (in their movies, albums, concerts and tours, MTV, magazine articles, novels, poems, public appearances, TV, radio, in person appearances). Those exposed will range from the top of the media conglomerates who produced these performers, to the record execs, studio heads, internet music services, rap moguls, politicians, authors etc. Oprah blamed Imus for this language, but Oprah, in many ways, has long fostered it. Imus is innocent, and he just repeated TWO WORDS. Two words that she never befor objected to. Vile words that many, many of her guests toss off daily. Once we get the Oprah stats compiled, verified and documented we are soliciting more donations. We are taking full page ads in the New York Times, The WSJ and Variety on the day of her event asking Oprah and Obama to explain their attack on a man who has done more for American children than she will ever hope to do, and explain the evenings indulgence of the people who created this depiction of living hell for urban children. Explain their indulging those people that took the pain and suffering of these kids to the bank. We will ask Oprah to please give us some insight into her attack on Don Imus given her decades old support of this exploitation of urban suffering that her guests and friends spoon feed to the wealthy white kids in her many wealthy neighborhoods. We already have a media buyer, and if there is money left over, we will go to papers in the Democratic primary cities. Imus is a good person, and didn’t deserve this. We will vet our data to insure that she cannot stop it, or sue us afterward.
