The whole world seems to be still shaken up over the whole massacre that happen in Virginia Tech a few days ago, and well they should be. This whole thing was one of the worst of the worst tragedies to happen in America. Yet I couldn’t help thinking as I watch the continues video play of the sicko’s rants and pictures of him holding up two 9mm’s posing for the camera, whose to blame for this man? The only reason why I bring this up is because of the railroading Atlanta rapper Pastor Troy has suffered over a seriously disturbed man who killed an police officer that may have listen to one of his songs.
Apparently, an North Carolina man who killed two police officers and I quote Allhiphop.com “…may have been influenced by a song performed by rapper Pastor Troy titled “Murda Man.” Okay, okay now I know the power of music is strong but is it fair to blame Pastor Troy for the next man’s actions? Or are they just refusing to take a deeper look into the mind of this fool? I mean the mass media is making the VT Killer (whose name I refuse to acknowledge because I refuse to give him the publicity he wanted) into a superstar.

But on some real shit, its funny how when it comes out that the VTK was a big Led Zeppelin fan and even took pictures like scene’s out of the movie “Old Boy” (which by the way is a crazy as movie I highly recommend) and no one says shit. No one is running around screaming that this movie is the reason dude flipped or that Led Zeppelin motivated him. No their doing what if he was black and from the inner city they wouldn’t do. They are exploring the 3 dimensional human being with issues that was sparked by his environment. So does this NC man not deserve the same treatment? I don’t mean to say that he’s innocent or anything just that we need to take a deeper look rather than just blaming someone that had absolutely nothing to do with it. Pastor Troy didn’t put a gun into his hand, same way the actor/ director of “Old Boy” didn’t for the VTK kid. People have to see there is more to it than just blaming Hip-Hop to take the easy way out.
Why shit on Pastor Troy’s name (or any artist for that matter) for something the next man has done. So should we hold whoever is in President Bush’s Ipod accountable for his actions? Should we blame the artist the lame ass in charge of FEMA or whoever the mayor of New Orleans was listening to when they made the mistakes they made during Katrina? Maybe I should of blamed Kris Kross for every time “I Missed The Bus”? We have to take a real hard look at our society when it’s easy to blame a certain type of music for a certain type of man’s actions. If the same NC man where to have listen to “We Are The World” would we be saying it’s Michael Jackson’s fault? Nope, it wouldn’t of been brought up unless they were stating how ironic it would of been. We all know if the VTK guy was posing in pictures dressed like 50 Cent, quoting 2Pac lyrics Hip-Hop would of been considered a main factor to the reason he went off. While that’s not the case, the case is some kid (call him whatever you want) went off in an terrible killing spree and another man kills two cops in drunken rage or some shit. My prayers go out to the families involved in all the situations. My thing is Hip-Hop can’t be blamed for everything just to ignore the real problem whatever it maybe.

Black people are to blame for violence.
*rolls eyes*
Kill yourself, homeboy lol
This is a good entry right here. Nice comparison.
