Hiphop heads should know this one and
kool g rap a pioneer of this sh**t if ya
dont know now ya know.
This is one of my all time favorite
videos. It take me back to the days when
i used to record videos off of the box ,
rap city, and yo mtv raps. Pure classic,
from the beats, the dancing, and of
course g raps signature hard core lisp!
young people who think snap and crunk is
great are missing out on the real
essence of hip hop
Kool g rap, the legend & pioneer of
hip-hop. This song is a classic
"......the first time in my life loanin'
money to dad!!!!" what a profound
statement of independence from a young
man!!!
You can tell this is big daddy kane's
lyrics. Yeah, every rapper donned chains
and suits at the time but isn't that
scoob and scrap dancing in the
background... I questioned how good g
rap really was. He's no rakim or kane.
I'm was rich . I was have a gold thing .
Say cops for me people steal me . I
wanna am rich . I wanna rap with ur .
I'm from curaçao . Add me at

Corona queenz .. Stand up!!!
G rap and kane was neck and neck...
Rakim & krs 1... God mcees of the
80's... Ny!!!!! no one will ever take
that away from us.... The god mcee will
always be a newyorker.....
I feel kane and g-rap had different
styles. They both are brilliant in their
own right. Someone commented about the
road to the riches video concerning the
dancers. To answer there question. That
was shawn & kenny of the tcf dancers who
later started there own goup on warner
brothers and sony music. Kane, scoop &
scrap had more exposure. But g-rap & dj
polo had the best dancers in hip hop
hands down.
"smackin n*ggaz wit stacks of ones"
It was stacks of 100 my man
This was the hustlas anthem in harlem
.when you played this song you had to
have clout or you would get shut down.we
we very impressionable and felt like g
rap was expressing what we were seeing
everyday!!those of us in the game went
through to sad ending of this song and
learned the hard way!

guess it ain't so bad,at least some of
us are still alive to remember the song
and the skills of g rap!!
First of all dont put rakim in a
category with rappers, he 's in category
by himself and g.rap had a distinct
different style from kane,g.rap was
definitely one of the 1st putting it
down about hustling and being a gangsta.
