Damn, classic. But only for the beat.
Livin' proof was a true testament to
premo's skill, cuz dap and nutcracker
were adequate at best on the mic. Most
of the gangstarr foundation seems like
premier's tag-alongs. If it wasn't for
him most of them wouldn't have seen the
light of day in hip hop.
Dap was good i liked his voice. Mal was
awful but i still say this album was
premos best work as a producer overall.
Tracka dn interlude after interlude were
crazy. This that premo sh*t i like to
hear. Fight for us!!
Group home nobodysmiling is holdin it
down. -stoic
Definately premo's best work
production-wise on one album. As for the
mic skills, dap and the nutcracker were
certainly subpar. Dap kills me on this
album because all he talks about is
"kickin' dope lyrics", but he never
actually does.
I agree with everybody. Premo was, is,
and always will be the sh*t when it
comes to makin phat tracks. Livin proof-
a tru classik. This is the type of hip
hop that needs to resurrect in today's
society and become in the minds of young
hip hop fans all over so they can be
aware of what spittin dope lyrics while
sayin something useful at the same time.
Classic shyt... This is one of my
favorite premo beats...
Classic sh*t all day--this album/ sun
rises the east/ hard 2 earn---primo
showed skillz galore---even though
everyone downplays dap and mal they sh*t
was real hip hop and thats why its
sooooo dope!!! new booties pay attention
to ya history!!!!
Props to the gangstarr
foundation.premier still one of the
ilest!!!
Definitely agree with all you kats...
Premo was, will and be remembered as one
of the best djs of all time... They
don't do music like this no mo'... Best
hip hop in my opinion... When it was all
real... Early to mid 90s
This sh*t is an ill producktion,
Yeah, great production. Lyrics on the
album weren't as weak as on this jam,
and not as bad as everyone is making
out. Sure, not slick and polished but at
least sincere and authentic. "seeds"
states a real reason for making this hip
hop art and sits better with me than
guns, girls and gold. Nobody would put
them in their top ten but i remember
being pretty happy when i bought this.
Perhaps our judgement of their skills is
influenced by the fact that sooooo much
high quality came out of this era of hh.
I'll stand up for them, but then again,
i didn't upgrade this album when
everything went cd and still only have
this on tape.
I remember hearing this and thought "dam
hip hop is going a long way". Now, i
think the car that hip hop was driving
ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere
with no cabs around. The struggle
continues
This album is a fo sho classic. I thinks
these cats are fresher than anything
comin out of ny now. This is a drop from
hip-hop's heyday. Production is ill,
lyrics fresh and to the point as well as
positive. Can't tell me this album is
not a must have classic.
To me group home still the hottest sh*t
to come out... Premier beats is
sick..the whole sh*t just sick
Production wize it was primo best work,
everybody complains about the lyrics but
as guru said it's mostly the voice
Premo!!!!
Oldskoolburner
This track brought me back to my teens.
I wish hip hop go back to the late 80's
and early 90's. Premoooooooooooooo!
I need this album, primo is sick as hell
on this disc i heard the samples, gotta
hear that suspended in time
Classic, hip-hop just ran out of gas in
the atl hopefully someone from the ny
will go and grab the car from the atl
and gas it up and keep it from running
out of gas again on unfamiliar
territory!!!
