Alright, moment of truth is gangstarr's
crown jewel (for the time being). This
song was a dope first single, and really
set the album off right. Comments were
made about group home's livin proof
being premo's best, but moment of truth
was consistently outstanding sonically.
Guru reps hard over over a minimalist
beat on this track. This album
solidified my love for a group that
started with "deep concentration". This
album probably has accumulated more
spins in my cd player than any other, i
always turn to it in times of darkness.
It reinvigorated hip hop for a minute
just when sh*t was starting to get wack.
I'll always rep this to the fullest!

Gang starr's greatest album. Came out at
a time when puff daddy was dancing and
been an idiot in his shiny suits. Preemo
is the greatest producer ever. Guru for
me is sooooooooo underrated its
ridiculous. Gang starr are legends of
hip hop. Pity that they ain't together
no more. Real hip hop.
"moment of truth" was my cup of coffee
in the morning! i really appreciate this
album alot, because of the realness and
, to me, its more than 5 mics, its like
a cool drink of water on a hot summer
day, always refreshing to hear guru and
premo. Probably the greatest mc/dj combo
ever!!
Guru is a real lyricist and moment of
truth has remained one of the dopest
lp's of all times but whats funny is the
mainstream dont have it on their top 100
rap albums of all times they got sh*t
