Game Spits 300 Bars at G-Unit & Rocafella
Tuesday, June 21, 2005 By: John Kennedy
Weeks after devoting a majority of his Summer Jam set to dissing 50 Cent and G-Unit, The Game has continues his “G-U-Not” campaign with the diss track “300 Bars and Running.”
The recently released track is a lyrical bashing of the entire G-Unit camp , including 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, DJ Whoo Kid and even Olivia, who he repeatedly calls a man.
“‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’, we thought you was hot / now the same nigga wanna take us to the ‘Candy Shop’ / C’mon man, what happened to the thug / now you can find him in the club / him and Lloyd Banks hugging,” Game raps.
He also confesses that his public beef-squashing with 50 in Harlem was phony.
Game spits nonstop for more than 12 minutes over a variety of different beats, including Kanye West’s “Diamonds,” Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones,” and MC Shan & Marley Marl’s “The Bridge.”
Aside from ruthlessly insulting his former crew, Game takes another shot at Memphis Bleek and even calls out the Young Gunz.
“Let Bleek do it / then throw him a concert at Madison Square, watch everybody sleep through it … Bleek, its over let Chris and Neef do it / They say the wrong thing I’ma smack them silly / What you thought, them the only niggas wrapped in Philly?” Game spits.
Although he disses Bleek and the YGs, he once again denies any beef with Jay-Z .
“There’s the speaker, bring your ears a little closer, before you call this a diss / and you make Hova pissed / Why would I wanna do that / when I'm just a new cat / that was told if a nigga take shots then shoot back,” Game raps, as the beat switches to “Takeover.”
“300 Bars and Running” appears on Nu Jerzey Devil & DJ Skee’s mixtape titled "The Game - You Know What It Is Volume 3," which features guest appearances from Sheek Louch, T.I. , and Charli Baltimore.
