Lil KimThe judicial system finally worked to Lil’ Kim’s advantage Wednesday, as she was able to prevent Lil’ Cease from releasing a DVD that used her name and image without authorization.

Cease, born James Lloyd, failed to show up to answer the civil lawsuit that was charged against him. Although Lil ‘Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, was not required to attend the court proceedings, U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff said she was entitled to the victory as a result of Lloyd’s no-show.

In her lawsuit, Jones accused Lloyd of illegitimately using her name and image to promote “The Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A. Part II: Reloaded.” The DVD would include interviews from Lloyd and Antoine "Banger" Spain addressing their involvement with her perjury trial.

Kim and Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s rift occurred when members of the group testified against her word in the highly-publicized perjury trial that resulted in Kim’s 366 day jail sentence.

Kim is scheduled to report to prison Sept. 19.

Kim is back with her fourth studio album THE NAKED TRUTH. The new single off of the album is "Lighters up."
