'Take It Easy'

After performing at Dave Chappelle’s Block Party last year and the BET Awards a few months ago, The Fugees are planning on making a full-fledged comeback with their upcoming single “Take It Easy.”

Wyclef recently told Rolling Stone that the trio is in the studio working on their next album and the first single should come out in less than a month.

“Everybody that's been holding their breath should start letting their breaths go,” he told Rolling Stone. “You've got three individuals that have grown musically. But we're always on the same page - that's the magic of the Fugees.”

He also said the group would return to the sounds that first brought them to prominence.

“Our first record that blew up in New York City was called 'Mona Lisa/Nappy Heads'. It's like we're going back to the core of where we come from. It's that record, the minute it comes on, you be like, ‘Oh, that's what I've been missing!’”

Wyclef also confirmed that the Fugees will definitely be going on tour next summer to take the new record live.

“The Fugees is a unique situation, the real marriage of the hood and the suburbs together. It's always exciting.”
