The Game Denied Entry To Fashion Show
Wednesday, August 31, 2005 By: John Kennedy
Contrary to reports by some news outlets, The Game was denied access to the Magic Convention Show yesterday as a result of his bodyguards’ violation of security codes, not to avoid a potential altercation with Suge Knight.
According to a Magic International press release, Game was accompanied to the show by five of his bodyguards – at least two of which were armed. The Nevada Revised Statute 202.3673 prohibits concealed weapons of any type on Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) property.
Game was scheduled to make a booth appearance to promote the launch of his sneaker, the Hurricane, by 310 Footwear line. Magic officials offered to reschedule the rapper’s appearance contingent on adherence to the concealed weapons policy, but Game’s camp refused.
310 Footwear will launch The Game’s Hurricane sneaker in the first quarter of 2006.
