Damon Dash Relinquishes Rocawear

Fallout from the Jay-Z/Dame Dash split continues, as Dash intends to sell his portion of the lucrative Rocawear clothing line. According to the New York Post Jay-Z’s former right hand man is in the process of collecting some $30 million dollars from the label head and “other silent partners.”

The report also states, converse to Jay-Z’s story about being denied the masters to “Reasonable Doubt”, he actually initiated the breakup because he felt Dash was “not pulling his weight.”

Dash currently operates multiple businesses including Tiret watch company, DDMG, and both State Property and Rachel Roy clothing lines. His new reality show “Ultimate Hustler” premiers October 8th on BET, and will feature DDMG artists Grafh, Rell and Sizzla.

I had guessed that those exact figures (30 mill) would be an issue when this problem was addressed by source magazine (tm) in march 2005. Dame not pulling his weight? i hope that is a rumor about jay z's words because jay could have did his own thing a long time ago. I personally know strong entrepreneurs who have multimillion dollar enterprises off of ten grand! please get real!

I think dame and jay did the right thing but it ain't have to end like that, atleast not so early. Them to together they did damage and it was about money and they friendship.i just feel bad for cam and all them, not knowing which one to choose between. But i wish jay and dame the best of luck. It certainly seems def jam records thought jay was the better business man of the two; because they didn't come to dash with the president/ceo deal!
