Arnold Schwarzenegger meets with the legal team of Stanley 'Tookie' Williams

The Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has agreed to meet with the legal team of Crips cofounder Stanley 'Tookie' Williams, 51 on December 8th. The meeting is set to take place in the governors Sacramento office and along with Williams' lawyers, the LA County Prosecutors will be present.
Williams imprisoned for the murders of four is due to be executed by lethal injection on December 13th. During his tenure in prison the cofounder of the Crips became an anti-gang activist and has been nominated for several Nobel peace prizes. The Crips were founded in 1971 in Los Angeles by Raymond Washington and Stanley Williams, after closely watching the highly controversial Black Panthers continue their fight to empower the African-American community.
32,000 people have signed a petition for clemency for Williams,amoung them Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg, saying that he could do a lot more for society alive as opposed to dead. having come to recognize the phenomenom he started in the formation of the Crips, Tookie has developed a series of books along with author Barbara Bencel for elemetary school children- Tookie Speaks Out Against Gang Violence. He has made pleas to kids to avoid going down the same path he chose to follow, "Don't join a gang, you wont find what you are looking for. All you will find is trouble pain and sadness. I know I did."
The Governor of California has rejected two previous petitions for clemency by Death Row inmates, but the request to spare Tookies's life will be decided before December 13, the Governors office said.
