Wednesday, December 21, 2005 By: Michael Ivey
Despite being incarcerated Lil Kim still manages to reach out to underprivileged youth through “Lil Kim Cares.” The charity foundation linked with clothing company Mitchell & Ness and boxer Zab Judah to sponsor a toy giveaway in Philadelphia. Kids thirteen and below can come to Myers Rec. Center this Thursday (12/22) and get free toys for Christmas.
Event coordinators include Charles “Charlie Mack” Alston, Lil Kim’s manager Hillary Weston, Eddie Magic, Meda Judah, Fight for Life' Foundation, Mothers In Charge, Men United For A Better Philadelphia, and Teens In Charge. Hip hop & R&B station 100.3 The Beat will broadcast live from the Myers Rec. Center, encouraging residents to drop off toys, cloths, and books. The event is first come first serve, from 4pm-6pm at 58th & Kingsessing Avenues. For more information about Lil Kim Cares go to www.lilkimcares.org.
