Nas' 'Baby Mom' to Release Tell-All-Book
Thursday, January 26, 2006 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Carmen Bryan, better known as Nas’ former girlfriend and mother of his child, has penned her autobiography titled “Sex, Drugs and Hip-Hop – Oh, and Did I Mention Love?”, in which Bryan openly describes her alleged affairs with rapper Jay-Z and NBA player Allen Iverson.
Bryan, who appears in the February issue of King Magazine, spoke briefly about some of the Queensbridge rapper’s own past infidelities. “We had an argument and he was like, ‘I’m a king, Carm. Do you know how many girls would love to be in your shoes right now?’,” said Bryan. “That was his favorite line. I never had to deal with lots of groupies calling me, but I heard things. I asked Nas about some of them. Way after we kind of broke up, I asked him about Lil Kim, Eve, Mary J. Blige. The only one Nas ever admitted to dating was Mary.”
When asked about her alleged affair with Jay-Z, she replied: “I was so in love with Nas at the very beginning, I couldn't even look at another man. But it began to fade. I guess I really took notice to it when I took Jay-Z's phone number.”
Rumors began circulating about Bryan’s relationship with Jay after he released “Super Ugly,” a 2001 dis track in which the Brooklyn rapper gloated about hooking up with Nas’ baby-mother after they broke up. Afterwards Jay apologized for involving her in the feud, admitting it was done in bad taste.
There is no word yet on when the autobiography will be released.
