Legend Rakim Helps Ecko Promote Video Game

Two hip hop luminaries will this month join urban brand creator Mark Ecko to promote his new video game, "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure." Wu-Tang’s RZA and pioneer emcee Rakim will meet and greet fans and autograph copies of the game Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Virgin Megastore between 6-8pm.
Rakim lends his voice for the main character, Trane, in a game touted as "the first truly authentic video game based on urban culture and graffiti art." The cast also includes Sean "Diddy" Combs, Rosario Dawson, Brittany Murphy, George Hamilton, Giovanni Ribisi, Adam West, Andy Dick, Charlie Murphy, The RZA, and Michael "M.C. Serch" Berrin among others.
A System of a Down remix of Notorious B.I.G.’s "Who Shot Ya," the official "Getting Up Part 1" anthem by Rakim and Talib Kweli, as well as new songs by Pharoahe Monch and Pack FM are on the game’s soundtrack. "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure" will be available for Playstation, Xbox and Windows platforms. Mark Ecko is the creator of Ecko Unlimited clothing and Complex magazine.
