Jay Z Creates Rocawear for the Wrist

President of Def Jam Recordings Shawn Carter AKA Jay-Z has furthered his Rocawear clothing brand by inking a licensee deal with watch designer Vestal Group Inc. for a fall 2006 line of wrist watches. "I feel strongly that the taste level and loyalty of our customer is to be respected and our timepiece collection will appeal to their fashion sense while also giving them a true classic timepiece to be worn for many years to come," Carter said in a recent statement.

Rocawear watches for men and women will range from $95 - $395. The Vestal Group President of Licensing Rudy Theale says his company is "thrilled" to be working with Carter’s urban lifestyle brand. The Rocawear timepiece collection is featured at this year’s Las Vegas Magic Convention which ends Feb. 24th. "Vestal Group in conjunction with Rocawear now has the opportunity to create the blueprint for a classic timepiece and bring an innovative collection to the consumers and the retail market," said Theale.

The timepiece should be impressive with the same taste and quality that shawn carter has i'm sure this will escalate more trips to the bank.

Jay been tha man, its kinda crazy that in the world of hip hop the money is what makes us think that hes the man. F*ck i thought he was tight with tha pen when he came with the new delivery on resonalble doubt. I understand his logic though..he had to slow it up for some of the narrow mynded ppl who missed what he was saying then.
