Black Rob Detained on Fugitive Warrant

Bad Boy recording artist Black Rob is in police custody after being picked up last week on a fugitive warrant in New Jersey.

Rob (born Robert Ross) was first arrested at New York’s On The Ave Hotel in November 2004 after a security camera taped him leaving a female guest’s room with her pocketbook. He was booked for burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, to which he eventually pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two to six years in prison.

However Rob remained free on bail, and did not show up as arranged on January 24th to serve his time, at which time a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. His whereabouts were unknown until members of a federal task force caught him at an undisclosed location last week.

According to Edison Alban, spokesperson for the Manhattan district attorney’s office, Rob will be returned to New York to be jailed on the original burglary charge, and could then face additional time and charges for jumping bail.

Black is from a whole diff new york- the grimey ny from the 70s and 80s-so those cats bad habits of crime-- and gettin in trouble are hard to break.

Dayem....poverty is a mutha'....sheesh...any rapper who gets any type of revenue from rap should invest into something besides a high. Musical equipment is not as expensive as ppl think.. Man he had better invest in some talent or something. A pocketbook.....dayem. Your right cense....i had a couple of friends from that era and they saw me stunting and were like you down south cats kill me, yall think nobody will jack yall. They were grimey as hell and put my on to game (not that i didnt know) but they showed me that a grimey cat would steal dirty underwear outta a hamper. (true story too).

Werd kalliope new york is str8 P*ss* these days-accept for certain hoods. But in the 80s every where was F*cked up- regan was pres- u had the cold war and wen crack hit the hoods of america it was a wrap.
