Young Jeezy’s gun charges dropped in Florida

Young Jeezy escaped two gun charges due to insufficient evidence, stemming back to a March shooting incident in Miami.

The Atlanta-based rapper was arrested in South Beach back in March, after his entourage was involved in an early morning shootout. According to police reports, a fight broke out around 5:30 a.m. when members of Jeezy’s crew got into a scuffle with another group of men. The fisticuffs turned to gunfire when a member of the rapper's posse noticed a bystander trying to capture the skirmish on his video camera.

"One of Jeezy's producers walked up to the guy with the video camera and demanded the video," said police spokesman Robert Hernandez. "When he refused, another guy in the entourage produced a gun in his waistband … and shots were fired.”

While no one was injured in the crossfire, police pursued the 28-year-old artist – born Jay Jenkins – after he fled the scene. A search of his SUV revealed two guns in the car. As for the rapper, he has always maintained his innocence.

"As we told everyone that day, no weapons in the car belonged to Young Jeezy," the rapper's lawyer, Scott Leemon, said. "We are glad that he is able to put this behind him and refocus on what he does best -- making hit records."

He isnt innocent though, its just that the law is a very stiff upper lip sort of thing, i would charge him with having guns in his car. Just today i read in the paper that there is enough ammo to kill everybody in the world twice and enough guns for 1 tenth of the worlds population.

Sorry to say this but... He'll be in trouble again before the summer is over. It's just the nature of the music being put out by these gang bang rappers. It comes right back on thier own head. I had to say it... Stop with the wicked lyrics. Enough of the coke tales and the strippers memories and murder murder murder... And so on and on and on... It's choking us all. 1!

Another case of being the star taking the rap for the entourage. Notice how they didnt know the names of "anybody" but they know the name "young jeezy"...oh...and the rat after cheese azz lawyer....lmao. Shyt, hope it aint a next tyme...i wouldnt wish nothing bad on this cat....he is a breath of fresh air for "all" hip hop like it or not.
