Bone Thugz & Swizz Beatz Make it Official at Interscope
Wednesday, May 17, 2006 By: Michael Ivey
Rapid fire spitters Bone Thugs-N-Harmony recently joined Swizz Beatz’s Full Surface/Interscope roster and the group is working on an LP due out later this year. According to online reports, it all started when Swizz told the Cleveland natives he wanted to help them resurrect their careers and they began a working relationship. "At first we were going to sign with J Records, because that's who Swizz' label was under, but Swizz' deal ran up with J Records," said Krayzie Bone. "Then other people started hearing that we were working with Swizz Beatz and started making offers, and Interscope was one of the biggest offers that came through."
Bone’s new album will reportedly feature production by Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, Lil' Jon, Three 6 Mafia, Big Boi of Outkast, and Aftermath/Interscope boss Dr. Dre. The project will also include new rhymes from incarcerated group member Flesh-N-Bone, who is serving an eleven year sentence on firearm violations. It will not feature former member Bizzy Bone, who was dismissed from the group in 2002 following a string of incidents that culminated with him showing up intoxicated to a show at BB King's Blues Club in New York City. Bone plans to begin recording next week in Arizona and Krayzie promises that fans will get a hit single via radio as soon as it’s done, "way before the album comes out." "Gotta get a head-start on the competition out there."
