Jurassic 5 Releasing Their Fourth Album

Thursday, June 1, 2006
By: Kenny Rodriguez

Jurassic 5Hip-hop group Jurassic 5 is gearing up for the July 27 release of “Feedback,” the Los Angeles-based crew’s first album in almost four years.

Known for their old school-esque flows and B-boy friendly beats, their forthcoming LP is the follow-up to their 2002 album “Power In Numbers.”

Their latest single “Work It Out” is an unlikely pairing with rock group the Dave Matthews Band, while their song “Where We At” features a guest spot by Brooklyn rapper Mos Def.

Although the LP’s production is mostly kept in-house, supplied primarily by group turntablist Nu-Mark, there are also several outside contributions from producers Scott Storch (50 Cent, Fat Joe) and Salaam Remi (Nas, Kool G Rap).

Yo, i coped that cuz i always luved j5 for their kinda throw back sound....but i was kinda disappointed.......some songs were tight like "gotta understand" and sum others but i felt there was a lil of a feeling like there was sum label pressure on sum of the songs...it jus dont add up ta power in numbers or quality control.....but j5 is still mad tight....peace & 1
