Eminem, D-12 Sell T-Shirts to Benefit Proof’s Family
Friday, June 30, 2006 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Eminem and rap group D-12 are selling a line of T-shirts to raise money for the family of group member DeShaun ‘Proof’ Holton, who was killed in a Detroit nightclub shootout in April.
Available for order at BigProof4Ever.com, the shirts feature Proof’s image on the front and the words “Big Proof Forever 1973-2006” on the back. This was the same shirt design that Eminem and several attendees wore at Proof’s funeral service.
The T-shirts are priced at $20, and all proceeds benefit the Big Proof Forever Foundation. A commemorative “Big Proof Forever” poster is also being sold on the website for $45.
During Tuesday night’s surprise appearance with Busta Rhymes at the BET Awards, Eminem honored his slain friend by wearing a similar T-shirt that read “Shady” on the front and “Proof Forever” on the back.
