Wednesday, July 26, 2006 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Hype Williams, the director behind some of hip-hop's most memorable music videos, is the subject of a 90-minute presentation in New York City's prestigious Lincoln Center
tonight.
"Believe The Hype: An Auteur Study of Hype Williams" will give an in-depth analysis of Williams' extensive career, including his work with Nas ("If I Ruled The World"), Jay-Z ("Big Pimpin"), and Busta Rhymes ("Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See").
The event will be hosted by film critic Armond White, who has held previous evenings in honor of directors Mark Romanek (Jay-Z's "99 Problems") and Dave Meyers (Ludacris' "Stand Up").
