Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne Going Numb Soon
Tuesday, September 12, 2006 By: Michael Ivey
Despite reported leakage Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana still plan on dropping their first joint mixtape 'I Can't Feel My Face' this month.
According to Juelz there are still unmixed tracks that bootleggers and Internet pirates haven't procured, so the official version will hit the streets soon. Juelz also confirms reports that he and Lil Wayne, who are now on the Up Close and Personal Tour with Chris Brown and Ne-Yo, are plotting an actual album.
"We already got two songs we just did the other day in Virginia," said Juelz. He has sights on creating an LP that's indelible when all is said and done, envisioning beats from "everybody". The Harlem native says the only question is which major label will distribute the Diplomat/Cash Money project.
Following his next solo mixtape, 'The Rehab', another solo album is in order, hopefully featuring "a couple of named producers," like Eminem, in order to "see how I sound over their beats". Juelz's sophomore LP, 'What the Game's Been Missing (2005)', peaked at number one on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop and Top Rap Album charts.
Lil Wayne's sequel to 2004's 'Tha Carter',' 'Tha Carter II,' recently went platinum and he has been featured on radio friendly cuts like DJ Khaled's 'Holla at Me', Chris Brown's 'Gimmie That'. Lately he is engaged in a semi serious rap battle with former Cash Money writer Gillie Da Kid.
