Damn jay getting busy this fourth quarter. December going to be a big month, but jay is going to oovershadow all of those projects because he'll still be doing big numbers. Only people who will buy those albums are going to be the artists core fan base, because jay's going to be so big that they won't be able to make new fans. Also december is the month that new eminem record drops and that's going to sell. Hip hop needs all the releases because nobody is selling right now. This fourth quarter is what the summer should have been.

Def jam is still keeping the game exciting after 20 plus years of existence. The industry has changed since the days of public enemy and def jam has to change with the industry or be flattened. If def jam were the realest label in the industry, presenting underground cats with originality, and deep lyrics.. They would not sell millions. Hip hop is a mature market like rock in the 80s. The glam, glitz and rnb bonds are what sells in todays hip hop market and def jam stays about as real as they can while still maintaining record sales. I'd say jay is doing a good job. Thanks to them and other great artists, 2006 is the new 1994. The year that hip hop came back.
