Saturday, October 21, 2006 By: John Kennedy
Def Jam looks to own this year’s fourth quarter with high-profile albums from Nas, Ghostface, Fabolous, and Young Jeezy, not to mention the much-anticipated comeback album from Jay-Z in November.
“2006 was a great year for Def Jam Recordings, scoring hit records with Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Rick Ross, and LL Cool J to name a few,” reads a news posts on Def Jam’s official website. “However, the year is not over yet...”
After Jay-Z’s “Kingdom Come” drops on November 21, Young Jeezy will lead off with his album, “The Inspiration,” hitting stores on December 12, according to the post. A week later, on December 19, Nas and Fabolous each are slated to release their Def Jam debuts, “Hip Hop is Dead… The N” and “From the Bottom to the Top,” respectively. Closing out the year will be Ghostface, who will drop “More Fish,” which looks to be the sequel to “Fishscale.”
