With the swagger of a filthy New York pigeon flapping high above Air Force One Jigga-Man November 18 swooped down on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC and lead an indelible moment during his “7 cities in 17 hours” Cingular Hangar tour. Jay-Z re-entered the nation’s capitol-where his man “caught his death at”-to the title tune from his new LP ‘Kingdom Come’ (November 21), transforming the concert into an informal inauguration; after five weeks of disses and downloading he’s not sorry anymore about taking a brand new term. Brown leather pilot’s jacket and hoody draped over sparkling label chain, the presidential emcee left hysterical contest winners and students chanting “Encore!”

“PSA” and “U Don’t Know” added oomph on this sunny breeze of a Fall afternoon, then Jay brandished new flow during a snippet of the cool middle age anthem “30 Something.” He bounced and sauntered about the stage like an ’06 Sammy Davis , controlling the crowd with casual waves of the hand and jazzy convulsions. Jay’s many names rang like Premier’s bells during renditions of “Jigga My Ni**a” and “H to the Izzo.” And fans confirmed they indeed clutched every slippery line by mimicking the entire first verse from “Big Pimpin” while “Hova” went into his patented hip hop conductor act.

Jay-Z’s road DJ, Green Lantern, engineered rocking-out the parking lot behind Cramton Auditorium with “I Just Wanna Luv You” and “Show Me What You Got .” Then when inspired fans ventured their final lunges and threw up Roc-A-Fella diamonds at their self-styled savior the air turned so thick with excitement that even Jay wanted to blaze one more. But his speech was needed elsewhere in the hip hop nation, so Commander and Chief Hov lifted back to the sky, headed for another touch down in another city.

how many rapper/presidents can fly boss style to a city, ripped the the f**kin mic, board the bird to another city and rip it and repeat that process 5 times in 17 hours? not very many. Jim jones is clearly out of his league with hovito. The facts are this, lyrically he is 10 years late and about 320,000,000 dollars short.

Not a fan of jigga, but props where props is due! what he pulled off is on some serious boss role tip, but why he wastin his time on jim jones, when jim jus a fagg, an if he could ignore cam all this time, why respond to jim? any way dipset a bunch of queers, santana ia a baby suckin on mommy jim's tits an poppa cam hasn't released a banger since s.d.e, i used to feel cam, but he fell off worse than jigga, at least jigga role like a boss! when last did u hear of jigga gettin shot at? especially while drivin a lamborghini! after games gettin arrested for his cop impers, that's real lame!

much respect for investin in my city, town, hood, washington d.c. Jay z knows what's up. I appreciate the love from the jigga man performing at hu an historical hbcu just needs to expand performances out towards the hood and projects around da corner from him. Those folks are also contributers to who he is today like he said in "black republicans".

You can't hate jay, he's a lil' to ill for anybody! as far as jim ones (nas calls him) he's not really ready. He said if 30's the new 20 and jay is 40 and he's 30 then who's 20? i say jim can be 20 but, jay is 37 and if 30's the new 20 then jay is 27 and still on another level and not quite 30 so jay still like 17 on jimmy's ass (no homo) i hope y'all get that! read it again!

Jay is nice, but looking at him. He looks soft. He looks like a punk. Always looked like a punk, in his old videos he looks soft. Back in the 90's i could of sworn he was from the bx, but b.i.g blew up and next thing you know, jayz is from bk. Two things i know. One - lyrically he one of the greatest. Two - you can tell before all the famous rap star stuff, he was soft. Jayz is soft...

i just wanted to say i was a member at the howard university concert, it's like all of these years listening to someone you admire and i finally got a chance to see a legend perfom. I just want to say to jay, hovies home and i'm glad he's back.
