The greats changed their sound over and over. But they just kept the main thang. Its funny how peoples opinions differ so much about him... In my opinion, he was good. Power of the dollar and get rich or die trying were good albums, but then he got rich and stopped trying. The massacre was really a massacre, i dont know what the hell he was thinking with that. He tasted the money, and just wanted more. Then his music started to slack and he care more about the money aspect, which is understandable....cant hate the guy for making money. I think he lost a lot of respect from that, including from me, and then he had sh*t against nas (part of the reason the game left/beefed with him). I think what he did once he made the cash is part of the reason nas is saying hip hop is dead. Its not about the music anymore, its just about the money.
