Can't wait for this, it'll definately get slated no matter what comes out because, like jay-z's album, its been built up and hyped so much that everyone's got there own idea of what the album should sound like. It'll either be too commercial or too much like his old stuff, too lyrical, too basic, too many chart songs etc.. Its like a time bomb, everyone's waiting for it to go wrong. I think it'll be pretty much like most his old stuff with better beats and some interesting topics. Looking forward to the k. West track's and studying the jay collab.

Just had a listen to the album, im kinda dissapointed, hasnt had the same impact on me like the game or snoop album, some tracks be cool but my expectation was so high that maybe i expected a 5 mic classic which it isnt. Stillmatic is a better album. I'm hoping this is a fluke first listen and when i listen again it sounds better.

It's going to be the album of the year in 06.

Hopefully so; i am convinced that the poor record sales in hip hop is due to poor lyrical content. Hip hop is missing groups like p.e., and people like rakim etc.. The world is a more serious place now then it was ten years ago, people are more critical of every day things. The new wave of rappers aren't successfully filling in the shoes of the necessary elements of hip hop to keep it relevant in the minds of people..... Its going to have to grow up in order to last jay-z is right.

I just listened to the album a few times and wasnt disapointed nor amazed. A few songs were great but a few were very mediocer. The albumn has very good production though. Not going back, carry on tradition, and you cant kill me are nice but my favs are blunt ashes and let there be light, and of coarse hustlers and black republicans. Who killed it is crazy too. Nas rhymes in a kinda 1920's gangster voice and tells a story. Never heard anything like it. Overall i give the album a 9/10
