KRS-One, Marley Marl Team Up On New LP

Marley MarlIt seems Nas spoke too soon on “Hip-Hop Is Dead” – legendary emcee KRS-One is teaming up with DJ Marley Marl for his upcoming LP, “Hip Hop Lives.”

The album, executively produced by Marley Marl, will set the two artists together, who are otherwise best known for their 1986 feud on recordings “Queensbridge” and “South Bronx.”

“Hip Hop Lives” hits stores on May 22 via Koch Records.

In related news, KRS is currently touring across the country, and alongside De La Soul in select cities. The tour dates are as follows:

This sounds like a sick collaboration. I definitely want to see what these two can come up with together. I have to say that marley marl doesn't look like he's aged too well though haha. Dressing a bit too young in that picture i'd say.

Krs-one is one of the best m.c's to spit on a mic. This is why hip hop is still living because of people like krs-one and rakim. I hope that saigon and papoose will be new m.c's to keep hip hop alive. But thier will be no other like krs-one. Copping the album and the weak m.c's better move cause this m.c has something to say.

I hope koch records does right by this album and really gives it good promotion, hitting radio and video.. But especially radio.. This album deserves platinum..

Marley marl is the dopest pioneer producer ever. Listening to his 90's prod, w/ llcoolj is some of the tightest. Plus marl got the phat grammy.......this was called hiphop not rap

Its gonig to be sh*t just like any other 80s group wack 2000s release... Even the ultra album was wack as F*ck, these guys past their time, we need to elevate, not listen to the same 40 year olds that these wack F*ck*ng mcs try to duplicate today
