Friday, April 6, 2007 By: Kenny Rodriguez
As Prodigy gets ready for his album, “H.N.I.C. Part 2,” the Mobb Deep rapper is also working on an indie film by the same name, co-starring actors from HBO’s “The Wire.”
The film, titled “H.N.I.C.,” will star Prodigy alongside Hassan Johnson (The Wire), J.D. Williams (The Wire), Davetta Sherwood (The Young & The Restless), Rick Gonzalez (Coach Carter), and several others.
The movie is described as “a genre-bending story,” although plot details have yet to be disclosed.
This will be Prodigy’s third film after “Murda Muzik,” which he executively produced, and “A Talent For Trouble” starring Hassan Johnson, Roman Rivera, and Mekhi Phifer.
Production for “H.N.I.C.” is scheduled for Spring 2007. Meanwhile the album, “H.N.I.C. Part 2” is slated for release later in the year.
