Heltah Skeltah To Release LP, Says Sean Price

Sean Price has announced that he and Rock (alias Da Rockness Monstah) are back in the studio recording a new Heltah Skeltah album.

Sean P, who is currently on tour with Jedi Mind Tricks, told video game channel G4 about a few of his upcoming projects, including work with Detroit artists Black Milk and Guilty Simpson.

“After the Jedi Mind Tricks tour, I’m going home to work on my mixtape,” Sean Price said.

“Then I’m going to Detroit where I’m doing this album with a brother named Black Milk and this brother named Guilty Simpson. We’re doing an album together.

“Then the Heltah Skeltah album with my partner Rock, and then my solo album, ‘Mic Tyson.’ And I’ma knock you out with that. I’m working hard instead of hardly working.”

“The name of the [Heltah Skeltah] album is ‘Dirt,’ which stands for ‘Da Incredible Rap Team.’ We’ve been working on it for like, eight months now and have three songs. So that’s how we’re approaching it, real serious, man.”

This is good news for Duck Down fans as Heltah Skeltah’s last album, “Magnum Force,” was released almost a decade ago in 1998. However, the rap group is best known for its 1996 debut, “Nocturnal.”

Meanwhile, Sean P’s latest solo LP, “Jesus Price Superstar,” recently hit stores in January.

This is a time for groups like this.with all the bs on the radio it is time we let other people step up.i have both nocturnal and magnum force.they should be a part of any hip hop collection.i will be at store when this cd does come out.

This is definitely good news, but i have to say that it's kind of funny hearing sean price he's working seriously, and then say that after 8 months of "serious work" he and rock have achieved only 3 songs. What is he writing concertos ? lol
