Wyclef Produces Docu Film on Haitian Gangs

Wyclef JeanWyclef Jean is executively producing an upcoming documentary that follows the lives of gang leaders in his Haitian homeland.

The movie, titled “Ghosts of the Cite Soleil,” captures the slum of Cite Soleil in the months leading up to the overthrow of former Haitian president Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

The movie has already screened at the Telluride and Toronto film festivals, and will open on June 27 in New York and July 6 in Los Angeles before a nationwide release.

Aside from executively producing the film, Wyclef also scored its soundtrack.

I respect wyclef jean doc as a token 2 his haitian nation that were he was once from and i believe that he should do his best what ever he does and may god bless from clap87

Im glad wyclef is showing whats going on his country in also haitian and i respect him greatly for what he has done

I'm glad to see that clef has no problem letting the world know where he came from. I am escpecially glad that he is doing as much as he can to bring the country back to life. I just wish that other haitian stars and other affluencial haitian would get out of their shells and take a stand.
