Marley Marl Suffers Heart Attack, Hospitalized

Legendary producer Marley Marl has suffered a heart attack and is currently in stable condition at a New York hospital.

Koch Records has confirmed that Marley Marl, 44, is hospitalized, but would not disclose any further information.

Marley Marl, born Marlon Williams, is one of the founding members of the Juice Crew, the Queens-based rap collective that included hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Biz Markie, and Roxanne Shante.

Marl was also the founder of rap label Cold Chillin’, and has produced classic songs for LL Cool J (“Jingling Baby”) and Eric B & Rakim (“My Melody”).

His latest release, “Hip Hop Lives,” is a collaboration with former hip-hop rival KRS-One. It marks the first time the two have recorded together since their Bronx vs. Queens battles from the 1980s.

Send out my blessings....i am sort of glad to see he's in the hospital for that, instead of reading abut another rapper in care for a gunshot wound....hope he recoevers well hiphop lives

i been ridin wit marley since he was on bls wit magic, gettin it crackin wit the "world premiere's", and guest d.j's. Future flava's wit pete rock, now dubbed as d.j. Legend still on future flava's holdin it down for dolo. I grew up on marley and all of the juice crew . Speedy recovery my nigg, god bless

I hope marley is ok. Igot hooked on his music back in the day when i used to listen to mike allen on capital radio back in 1986. Marley marl will always be the freshest. Get well soon marley
