Timbaland Jailed Briefly in Germany Over Brawl

Timbaland had to spend an hour in a German jail on Monday morning after allegedly being involved in a bar brawl that left one man hospitalized.

Authorities say the Virginia producer, born Timothy Mosley, was involved in a fight that took place after a Justin Timberlake concert in Cologne, Germany.

Apparently Timbaland got into an argument with an unidentified Croatian man in the bar of the Intercontinental Hotel at 11:30 p.m. Unnamed sources say it started when Timbaland began flirting with the man’s girlfriend.

A heated argument sparked and the man reportedly called Timbaland the “n-word.” The situation escalated and the two took their dispute outside where an all-out brawl erupted, according to police spokesperson Juergen Goebel.

Timbaland’s entourage jumped into the fight, and it ended with the 29-year-old man being sent to the hospital with multiple bruises and injuries to his rib cage.

According to Goebel, Timbaland was questioned and held in custody for one hour, and then released on $1,000 bail. Police say the incident is still under investigation.
