Q-Tip Releases Free Single For Upcoming Album

Q-TipQ-Tip has released the first single for his upcoming album, “The Renaissance,” and is offering it for free on his MySpace webpage for a limited time.

The song, titled “WorkItOut,” was uploaded earlier today, and Q-Tip describes it as “thought-provoking, dance-friendly, fun and last but not least, hip-hop.”

Meanwhile, Q-Tip’s album will feature a live band for its production, and cameos by Common, Andre 3000, and D’Angelo.

“The Renaissance” hits shelves in the fall on Motown Records.

That shyt on afro samarai was fire. Y'all don't know what your talkin bout. Q-tip is one of the greatest. Ok, a tribe called quest was one of the greatest. Without muhamed and phife, q-tip's last solo project (vibrant thing) was boring. I hope it doesn't flop. Q tip would be better off teaming with dre than 50. We don't need to transform tip into a gangsta like 50 did with busta.

I just checked out the single. I like it which means that it won't be on the radio and probably wont have much commercial success. It sounds like a nice tribe beat.

Q has always had the hooks and the lyrical content. The verse on large pro's album "in the sun" killed it by all means. Keep it up q..that's whats up.
