By: brooklyniteOne

RaekwonRaekwon The Chef and his rap crew, Icewater, are releasing a group album with the help of several notable artists.

Their LP, “Raekwon Presents … Icewater: Polluted Water,” is set to feature cameos by Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Three Six Mafia, and Remy Ma.

The Staten Island group – comprised of Polite, Stomach, Paulie Caskets, and Donnie Cash – first appeared on Rae’s 2002 album, “The Lex Diamond Story.”

“We knew these cats had potential way back, but the timing wasn’t right,” said Raekwon. “I always kept a radar on dudes, and when I felt they was ready mentally and lyrically, I helped ‘em get on.”

“Icewater: Polluted Water” hits shelves on Aug. 28 via Babygrande Records.

Big up to raekwon, much respect to that brother. 14 years in the game, still going strong and putting the young gods on. There's rappers out there with longer paper than rae but they never put other dudes on. One day you hear they are rolling with a certain dude and telling you he's the next crack and the next day they telling you they don't know whats happening with dude. Anyway once again much respect to raekwon and all the wutang crew. Wu-tang for eva Bia'ches!!!!!

We definately need some quality music to balance out music right now. It can't all be about the same thing. That's why it's important that wu, blackstar, jean grae, saigon, common, kanye, pharoahe, bootcamp, busta, lupe....etc keep doing there thing!! we need that music that's on another level lyrically!!

Those sound like the worst cameos ever. Instead of having guest spots from wu fam (with the exception of meth), they have guest spots from industry pawns. Instead of showcasing their own lyrical ability they have a bunch of gimmick emcees on there just to sell a couple records to that crowd who buys that garbage. Sad thing. I wish rappers would just do it like they did it in the old days... Either have members of your crew on the track or don't have anybody at all... (elipses are a good way to end a sentence)
