Game On Trial For Three Felony Charges
Wednesday, September 5, 2007 By: Kenny Rodriguez
The Game was ordered to stand trial on Tuesday as he faces three felony charges, including allegedly pulling out a gun during a basketball game at a Los Angeles educational center.
The Compton rapper, born Jayceon Taylor, faces separate counts of making criminal threats, possession of a firearm in a school zone, and exhibiting a firearm on facility grounds for minors.
The charges stem from a basketball game on Feb. 24, where police allege the Game punched an opposing player during a dispute.
The rapper then reportedly grabbed a gun out of his nearby car and threatened to shoot the man.
A commissioner has ordered Taylor, who currently is free on $50,000 bail, to be arraigned on Sept. 25.
If convicted, he could face more than five years in prison.
