Busta Rhymes’ Court Date Postponed By Judge
Thursday, September 6, 2007 By: Kenny Rodriguez
A judge postponed Busta Rhymes’ court date yesterday after the prosecutor and defense lawyer said they were not ready to begin the trial.
The 35-year-old rapper, born Trevor Smith, faces charges of attacking two men, driving while intoxicated, and driving with a suspended license.
Busta is accused of beating a fan for spitting on his car, and in a separate incident, kicking a former employee last year. He also faces additional charges of driving with a suspended license and driving drunk.
The Long Island emcee recently rejected a plea deal that would have given him a year in prison.
Busta Rhymes was ordered to appear back in court on Nov. 7.
