If you decide to sample, then get the sample cleared...or put time in to learn an instrument and music theory to play it yourself. Composers, musicians and arrangers must learn a variety of skillsets [ear-training, harmony, scales, melodic writing, etc.] to make music. It takes a minute to get these skills up to a professional level. After putting in so much effort, why would you let someone steal your [intellectual property] music? i bet if you sampled timbaland's music and you sold a million units off his material, timbaland would be sueing you as well. The music business is a hustler's convention...sh*t costs money.
