Snoop, Lil Wayne Join ‘Boondocks’ New Season

Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes are a few of the rappers appearing in the upcoming second season of the animated series, “The Boondocks,” premiering this month.
The television show, created by cartoonist Aaron McGruder, will also feature cameos by artists Mos Def, Ghostface Killah, Cee-Lo, and MTV personality Sway.
Adapted from the popular comic strip, “The Boondocks” debuted in 2005 attracting rave reviews for its controversial humor, as well as protests over its depiction of civil rights leader Martin Luther King.
The new season premieres on Oct. 8 during Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block.
