Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a loaded gun on Tuesday in a deal that puts him behind bars for the next three-and-a-half years.

Prodigy, born Albert Johnson, interruped his trial in Manhattan Supreme Court and admitted to owning an unlicensed .22-caliber pistol found in his Chevy Suburban during a routine traffic stop.

Authorities say they pulled over Prodigy’s vehicle after he allegedly made an illegal U-turn in downtown Manhattan in October 2006.

The 32-year-old rapper, who already had two previous convictions, initially faced a maximum 15-year sentence.

^he ain't too much of an og gettin' 3.5 for a punk ass two two. He should'nt even own that little piece of shyt, much less do a bid for it. If i'm going down on a gun charge, it's gone be on some .44 mag, desert eagle, choppa type shyt, not a .22. That was dumb and avoidable. I guess he was trying to protect himself from a bear knuckled saigon, lol.

P is a legend (over 11 gold or platinnum mobb albums to date). I think he should sell his music online like radiohead w no label so fans can continue to support him and his movement during his bid....what do i know.
