Busta Rhymes Readies LP For December

Tuesday, October 16, 2007
By: Kenny Rodriguez

Busta Rhymes.Busta Rhymes is finishing up his eighth studio album, “Back On My BS,” as a follow-up to his 2007 LP, “The Big Bang,” and adding to the long list of rap albums dropping on Dec. 4.

“You can definitely expect something super duper stellar,” says Busta, who said that he’s going back to his traditional rap style complete with “the outfits, the hat, the coat.”

“Hot energy joints and songs that are a little bit more approachable aren’t going to feel as dark [as more recent tracks], even though I got a lot of situations to talk about, because of the last year. I still have so much to be happy for.”

Busta’s album will feature production by Dr. Dre, the Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, Hi-Tek, DJ Scratch, and the late J. Dilla.

Assuming no delays, “Back On My BS” will be joining several other hip-hop releases slated for Dec. 4, including:

Wu-Tang Clan - “8 Diagrams”
Saigon - “The Greatest Story Never Told”
Ghostface Killah - “The Big Dough Rehab”
DJ Drama - “Gangsta Grillz: The Album”
Wyclef Jean - “The Carnival II”
Three Six Mafia - “Last 2 Walk”

Busta, like the rest of the industry, needs do to only one thing. Stay true to himself. Fans are fickle and record sales only represent emotional responses to music and comments made about it. Most of the biggest selling albums have sold listeners out. A huge hit of heroin, with not sustaining feeling of g.o.o.d. Busta's last album was a mix of what dre wanted and what fifty influenced, who is fifty to influence busta? busta bust had no problem moving units before affiliating himself with g. Busta rhymes is an artist, and as long as he keeps coming up with tracks like new york sh.t and touch it, he'll keep true hiphop head's respect, and in the end, that's all that truly matters. What are they going to think of you when you're gone? or will they think of you at all? get at me anytime, ./baldwinp c.h.a.m.p.

Busta is a legend. I liked the way he did his sh*t back in the days more than what he does now. He's truly a living legend. Can't wait for busta's and ja's albums.

Busta's old sh*t is the best and deep, his best album is when disaster strikes, those tracks had heat. Busta's featuring to many people, i say just keep it real, like the c.h.a.m.p said "busta had no problem moving units before affiliating himself". Keep it real
