Foxy Brown Gets Solitary Over Prison Scuffle
Wednesday, October 24, 2007 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Foxy Brown, who is currently in prison for violating probation, has received 76 days in solitary confinement after several incidents at Rikers Island jail – including scuffling with another inmate.
Brown, 28, and an unnamed inmate got into a shoving match earlier this month, said Stephen Morello, a deputy commissioner for New York City’s correction department.
After that incident, Foxy reportedly was abusive toward correction guards, and then refused to take a random drug test.
Those three separate offenses earned Brown over two months in punitive segregation, where an inmate can spend up to 23 hours a day in isolation.
Brown, born Inga Marchand, is currently serving a year at Rikers for violating her probation in a case stemming from a 2004 fight she had with manicurists in a nail salon.
