Jay-Z Tops Charts, Ties Elvis For No. 1 Albums

Jay-Z scored his tenth No. 1 album on the Billboard charts with “American Gangster,” selling 425,000 copies in its debut week.
The Brooklyn rapper is now tied with Elvis Presley in second place for the most No. 1 albums on the charts; topped only by The Beatles who had 19.
Since 1998, all eight of Jay-Z’s solo studio albums have hit No. 1, including “The Blueprint,” “The Black Album,” and “Kingdom Come.”
Other artists who made the Billboard charts include Garth Brooks (“The Ultimate Hits”), the Eagles (“Long Road Out of Eden”), and Chris Brown (“Exclusive”).
