Duck Down Does Disney Hoops Tracks

According to sources close to the label, Brooklyn based outfit Duck Down Records this year provides the soundscape for ESPN’s 2007-08 Men’s College Basketball coverage. Label staple Buckshot (Black Moon), Heltah Skeltah (Sean Price and Rock), Smif N Wessun, and Tek, of Smif N Wessun recorded with four different producers to create the score.

"Getcha Team," by Heltah Skeltah, Buckshot and producer KB, is an exclusive ESPN track not featured on Heltah Skelth’s forthcoming LP, ‘D.I.R.T.,’ due in retail summer 2008.

ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U) is owned by storied American entertainment colossus Disney and air men’s collegiate hoops every day of the week from November 2007 until March 2008. Compensatory details concerning the venture are not available at press time. Here are the four songs commissioned by the network thus far:
