Wednesday, November 28, 2007 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Hip-hop duo Kidz In The Hall has announced a joint deal with indie labels Duck Down Records and Major League Entertainment, and their sophomore album is expected to hit stores in March 2008.
“It’s a win-win for all parties,” said Matty Marcus, founder of Major League.
“The Major League team could not be more excited to partner with Duck Down Records for the next Kidz In The Hall album.”
“The loyalty the label has shown to their roster over the years was a definite selling point, and Dru Ha and the Duck Down team are the perfect partners to elevate the Kidz In The Hall brand to the next level.
Duck Down, founded by Dru Ha and Buckshot in the mid-90s, is home to several Boot Camp Clik artists including Sean Price, Smif-N-Wessun, as well as Edo G’s Special Teamz.
Meanwhile, Kidz In The Hall are currently working on their second album, “The In Crowd,” scheduled for March 2008.
Group members Double-O and Naledge were formally signed to Rawkus Records, which released their 2006 debut, “School Was My Hustle.”
