Ghostface On Deck With Zoo York
Tuesday, January 22, 2008 By: Michael Ivey
It’s taken almost twelve years, but Staten Island pillar Ghostface finally gets to devour his slice of hip hop’s endorsement pie.
As of February the Wu-Tang members’ new ‘Big Doe Rehab’ release will be buoyed by streetwear brand Zoo York’s limited edition ‘Big Doe…’ skateboard deck and T-shirt, branded with Ghost’s many aliases and graphics from the album insert; the deal is a union between Zoo York, Ghost’s label, Def Jam Records and Cornerstone Promotions.
According to Zoo York less than 500 decks and T’s will be available through exclusive in-store and online promo campaigns.
Ghostface, hip hop’s original ‘Iron Man,’ (title of debut solo LP, ’96) plays a middle eastern power broker in the Paramount/Marvel comic adaptation Iron Man (5/2/08) starring Robert Downy Jr.
‘The World According to Pretty Toney,’ with accompanying audio book, is available at Amazon.com and participating book stores. Also, a limited edition, talking Ghostface replica doll (by 4Cast Limited), adorned with real gold jewelry and a trademark Ghostface robe, is available at www.theghostfacedoll.com
